After the unfortunate experience under the lights. Devon U15s returned to a traditional 50 over a side match verses Newlands Cricket School at Rondebosch Oval.
Newlands Cricket School won the toss and asked Devon to have a bat. Their opening bowler, Mthishwa, removing three of Devon’s upper order including Noah Rider for a brisk 6. The middle order repaired the damage and in the 50 overs scored 320 for 5. Harry Passenger wasn’t required to bat,
When Newlands batted. Noah was entrusted with the new ball and removed their opening batsmen, Gulwa, caught and bowled for a golden duck. Noah’s finished with figures of 1 wicket for 17 runs off 4 overs. Harry wasn’t required to bowl and Newlands were all out for 86 in just 29.1 overs. Devon finally notching up a win.
