Torquay CC regret to have to inform members of the recent passing in France of octogenarian Gerald Birt who played for the club in the mid-60s having joined from South Devon CC. A fuller appreciation of his time with the club will be released once Conrad Sutcliffe and Evo have carried out more research but it is understood he played in the side which lost the Devon Senior Cup Final to Plymouth CC in 1967.
