Recreation Ground Becomes Community Landing Site For Devon Air Ambulance

Recreation Ground Becomes Community Landing Site For Devon Air Ambulance

When Evo mentioned this only last weekend – he didn’t have insider information. (Honest!)

Though primarily a night time facility. In future Evo could be recording “”Helicopter Stop Play.” This wouldn’t be a first though as Devon CCC had a match at Sidmouth, “Helicopter Stop Play” a few years back when on the verge of victory – unsure whether the patient survived but Devon did go on to win the match. It actually demonstrates an unusual occurrence which might need DLS!

The three traditional powerhouses in cricket within The Bay now all support the work of the Devon Air Ambulance with their grounds being Community Landing Sites – surprisingly few cricket grounds certainly at the top end of the DCL are Community Landing Sites.

Floodlight Cricket – think that might be “pie in the sky” or should it be “helicopter in the sky”!

All joking aside, once we return to more normal times. Evo, maybe able to call in a favour for a visit by the Air Ambulance to the Rec or even a visit to its base.
