Torquay’s hands on Chairman, Ian Baker can report the renovations of the old bar area are continuing apace.
Just days after officially becoming a Torquay player, Reuben Stanley joined older brother Callum in the working party. Just a thought I wonder how many tools they used were made by the famous Stanley toolmaking company. In his progress report, the Chairman wish to especially thank Oskar Karssens as well as the Stanley’s for their help.
For those of you who maybe worried I am re-assured to have heard from Mike Pugh after the photo was taken. No one decided to bury him under the floorboards!
Off the back of Pughie’s support of the Red Devils. This weekend has seen the 63rd Anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster. Two interesting facts:
* There are now only five survivors still alive - Ruth Cheverton an air hostess being one and she was born in Totnes.
* Had a senior sports journalist for the Manchester Guardian not pulled rank then one of the voices of cricket, John Arlott, would have been on the plane. (The journalist who went sadly didn’t make it.)
